Abstracts can include:

New research

Unpublished primary research and/or secondary analysis of data, and reviews.

Methods

Newly established or characterized methods, or evaluations of existing methods

Protocols

Protocols or research proposals that describe a proposed new primary research, secondary analysis of data, and reviews

Case study report

We will welcome case reports as they are a  means of disseminating new knowledge gained from clinical practice

The Organizing and Scientific Committees of the Conference of Nutrition and Dietetics (COND) 2026, hosted by the Ghana Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (GAND) warmly invite professionals and researchers in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food and Agricultural Science, and Health-related fields to submit abstracts for Oral or Poster presentations.
COND 2026 will take place in August 2026 at the University for Development Studies, Tamale Campus, Tamale, Ghana. This conference aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among experts dedicated to advancing nutrition and health sciences. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to receiving your abstracts.

  • Abstract submission opens: February 02, 2026
  • Abstract submission(late breaking) closes: June 15, 2026, 11:59 PM GMT
  •  Abstract acceptance notifications sent: June 1, 2026
  •  Abstract programming assignments sent: July 03, 2026
  • All COND 2026 presentations are presented in English.

GENERAL CRITERIA FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

  • Authors need to review the conference sub-themes to decide which sub-theme fits their abstract before submitting. Click here for sub-themes)
  • A person could be a presenting author for no more than two abstracts but must address different research topics.
  • Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentations. 
  • Abstracts must be submitted online through the COND 2026 Abstract Submission site of the conference website only, from February 02, 2026. Report any challenges encountered while submitting your abstract through the online help tool or contact the COND Secretariat using this email (secretariat@condgand.org).
  • The author(s) listed as the presenting author(s) of the accepted abstracts must be registered participants at COND 2026. 
  • Please proofread abstract submissions carefully because edits will not be made by the COND2026 organizers or the Scientific Committee. Abstracts will be published verbatim in the conference booklet using the text and authors’ information provided during abstract submission.
  • Only abstracts assessed as good quality from authors who meet the abstract submission deadline, have followed the submission guidelines, and have at least one author registered will be selected for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts and presentation. 
  • Submission of an abstract signifies your acceptance for the abstract to be published in all printed material of the conference.
  • Abstracts must be written and submitted only in English. 
  • Conflicts of Interest / Disclosure: Authors are required to disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest. including an acknowledgement of funding sources of commercial nature, consulting relationships, or holding of significant equity in an organization that could influence the validity of the research presented.
  • Abstracts must be original and should NOT have been submitted or presented at any other scientific programme or conference.
  • Authors are NOT permitted to submit an abstract on work that has previously been published. If additional data or research is added to a previously published work the abstract could be accepted.

AFTER SUBMITTING

  • No alteration of the abstract can be made when abstract is under review, accepted or after (June 15, 2026) at 11.59 PM GMT.
  • All communication about the submitted abstract will be sent via email to the presenting author.
  • An email will be sent to: 
    • Confirm receipt of the abstract 
    • Notify if the abstract is accepted or rejected by June 1, 2026. 
    • Confirm if the abstract is accepted for oral or poster presentation.
    • Give presentation criteria for oral and posters.
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject any abstract if it is not adapted to any of the criteria recommended above.
